Ben Simmons Discussing Buyout With Nets
23 seconds agoBrooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons stayed on the team through the trade deadline, but that doesn't mean he's going to finish the season with the organization. The two sides are reportedly working on a contract buyout. Simmons is in the final year of a five-year deal that he originally signed with the Philadelphia 76ers. A majority of his time in Brooklyn has been spent on the bench due to injury. When healthy, Simmons has been decent, averaging 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists across 25 minutes per game this season. If he gets cut loose, the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers are potential landing spots. His fantasy value could see an uptick if he's surrounded by a better supporting cast.
