Kelly Olynyk Moves To New Orleans
2 hours agoVeteran forward/center Kelly Olynyk has been traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Toronto Raptors made a big move for Brandon Ingram, and Olynyk was part of the package they sent out, alongside Bruce Brown, a first-round draft pick, and a second-round draft pick. This marks the second consecutive campaign in which Olynyk has been traded midseason. The Raptors acquired him from the Utah Jazz last February. The 33-year-old enjoyed a good finish to 2023-24 but has only filled a backup role this season, averaging 7.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 16.0 minutes. Olynyk is set to remain a backup in New Orleans behind rookie Yves Missi.
