The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Unfortunately, we might see the Chiefs win another one, which would be the most boring outcome. The Chiefs sleepwalked through the season, winning endless, boring one-score games.
But the Eagles don't have quarterback Patrick Mahomes, so they're at a big disadvantage. Also, it doesn't help that they have a far worse head coach than Kansas City does. But there's always a chance, and Philly has one of the best rosters in the NFL.
There aren't many injuries to cover, but no team is fully healthy after a season's worth of beating their bodies have taken. So, we'll bring you the latest updates for the last game of the 2024-25 NFL season.

Patrick Mahomes, Skyy Moore Injury Updates
Mahomes (ankle) continues to deal with the ankle injury he suffered earlier in the season. But he didn't miss a game and continues to practice in full, so there's nothing to worry about. It's probably still bothering him, and he probably won't be 100 percent until the 2025-26 season starts.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Skyy Moore (abdomen) remains on injured reserve but practiced in a limited fashion on Wednesday. He's technically able to come off injured reserve before the game, as he's been there since October. But that hasn't happened yet, so it remains to be seen.
DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Kenneth Gainwell Injury Updates
Wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) logged a limited practice on Wednesday. It's not known if his injury is serious. He didn't practice at all last week, though, so it's probably not insignificant. And he played through hamstring issues earlier in the season as well.
It could be precautionary, or he could be managing something that won't improve until after the season ends. We'll have to wait for future practice updates to get more clarity on this.
#Eagles Wednesday injury report:
LIMITED – Jalen Carter (illness), Kenny Gainwell (concussion/knee), BG (elbow), DeVonta Smith (hamstring)
FULL – Zack Baun (groin), Britain Covey (neck), Landon Dickerson (knee), Dallas Goedert (ankle), Cam Jurgens (back), CJ Uzomah (abdomen)— Ed Kracz (@kracze) February 6, 2025
Meanwhile, running back Kenneth Gainwell (knee, concussion) is listed with a knee injury that we don't know much about. He remains in concussion protocol, though. He practiced on Wednesday for the first time in a limited capacity. He was concussed in the NFC Championship Game. Two weeks is a reasonable recovery time. He could come back for the game.
Finally, tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) is tending to an ankle injury. But he practiced in full, so he should be good to go. Every player with significant playing time is banged up by the time the Super Bowl comes around. It's a surprise more players aren't on the injury report.
That'll wrap up our final Thursday injury report update for the 2024-25 season. Thank you so much for using RotoBaller, and from me, it's been a pleasure writing for whoever is out there reading my articles. We'll have plenty of offseason content, so we're not going anywhere!
