He now looks to the Cognizant Classic for more consistency, an event where he has made the cut in three of his four appearances, including a T9 finish last year. PGA National is an unforgiving course that demands precision on approach, an area where Novak ranks 77th, gaining 0.182 strokes on approach per round. He also ranks first on tour in proximity from 150-175 yards, a range that accounts for 22.9% of all approach shots at this course. However, from 175-200 yards, Novak has struggled, ranking 153rd in proximity, and this range makes up 25.2% of all approach shots at PGA National. Novak is a lights-out putter, and as long as he gives himself opportunities on the green with his approach game, his $8,000 price tag on DraftKings makes him a worthwhile option for fantasy managers.

2 months agoAndrew Novak has been almost all or nothing in 2025. The American golfer has missed the cut three times in five events. However, he tied for 13th at Pebble Beach and nearly won the Farmers Insurance Open in January. Novak settled for an outright third after a final round 74. Given the conditions and carnage, few fared well on a day where the average round was several strokes above par. Only two golfers were below 70. With how tough the conditions may be around the greens and shifting onshore winds, Novak could have a challenge this time around. Novak might be a fade for DFS and betting options this week.

3 months agoAndrew Novak shared a 54-hole lead with Harris English at the Farmers Insurance Open but carded a two-over 74 on Saturday to finish in third place. Despite the disappointing final round, it was a significant boost for Novak, who had missed the cut in his previous two starts in 2025. Novak now turns his attention to Pebble Beach, where he has played twice, with his most recent result being a T20 in 2023. From the key 100-150 yard range, where 37.6% of approach shots at Pebble Beach come from, Novak ranks in the 84th percentile, averaging 21.0 feet to the hole over the last 12 months. He also currently sits 50th in total strokes gained on approach (2.495). At $6,700 on DraftKings, Novak offers great value at a low price.

5 months agoAndrew Novak has had a bit of an up-and-down 2024. However, in his last event, the American golfer finished inside the Top 20. Novak shot all four rounds in the 60's at the Narashino Country Club. He tends to go on runs of good form and this might be the start of another one. Novak's odds did seem to move around but settled around the +2800 to +3000 range. With the Port Royal Golf Course being a mere 6.842 yards, driving long is not a priority. Keeping the ball in the fairway on the greens is. Novak's approach to the green ranks 19th at 0.463. Given the windy conditions, his game may be coming together at the right time.
