Nicolai Hojgaard Will Be Hard To Trust At WM Phoenix Open Debut
54 seconds agoMaking his first career start at TPC Scottsdale and his PGA Tour Season debut, Nicolai Hojgaard is a dichotomy. The stellar performances on the European circuit (four top 25s and one top 10 in the last six starts) have not translated to events in North America. It's a frustrating issue for a young man with so much talent and Ryder Cup Team aspirations, but one where he doesn't seem that far off. From a ball-striking perspective, he is rather solid, gaining strokes on approach and off the tee in his last three starts. However, his game around the greens and with the putter can get downright despicable at times, which overshadows even the best performances elsewhere. At $8,600 on FanDuel, until we see something more promising from Hojgaard in The States, it's probably best to look at more viable options around him.
