Jesus Liranzo Signs Minor-League Deal With Milwaukee
30 seconds agoAccording to MLB.com, the Milwaukee Brewers are signing right-handed pitcher Jesus Liranzo to a minor-league deal. Liranzo has yet to reach the major leagues. Last season, Liranzo spent most of his time at the Double-A level and posted a 2.67 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP across 30 1/3 innings. He struck out 39 batters. Across 126 career innings at the Triple-A level, the 29-year-old posted a 6.29 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP. He tallied 145 punchouts but struggled with his command as he served up 75 free passes. Through 180 2/3 innings at the Double-A, the right-hander held a strong 3.84 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP. Fantasy managers should expect Liranzo to spend most of the season in the upper levels of the minor leagues. If he can continue to showcase his strikeout upside, he could make a case to reach the major leagues in 2025.
