Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith turned in a solid 2024 regular season, catching 68 passes, 833 yards, and eight touchdowns in 13 games.
He has been quiet in the Eagles' three postseason games, with just 12 catches for 121 scoreless yards thus far. To make matters worse, he popped up on the injury report last week with a hamstring issue as Philadelphia prepares to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Is Smith still hurt, or is he healthy? What is his fantasy football outlook for Super Bowl Sunday? Let's dive in.

Is DeVonta Smith Hurt? Injury Update for Super Bowl Sunday
Smith is no stranger to hamstring injuries, as the same injury forced him to miss Weeks 12 and 13 during the regular season. That being said, he didn't appear to do any further damage to his hamstring in Philly's NFC Championship round win over the Washington Commanders, as he was on the field for 59 of 71 offensive snaps.
The wideout missed some practice time last week, but it appears he was getting rest/load management ahead of the big game. Smith is listed without an injury designation and will suit up against the Chiefs on Sunday in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII.

DeVonta Smith Fantasy Football Outlook for Super Bowl Sunday
Now that we know Smith will be on the field for the Super Bowl let's look at his outlook against the Kansas City secondary. The Chiefs were a middle-of-the-road matchup for receivers during the regular season, allowing the 17th-most fantasy points per game to the position.
That being said, Smith has been a problem for the Chiefs in the three times he has faced them (twice in the regular season and once in Super Bowl LVII), combining for 20 catches for 321 yards across those three meetings.
DeVonta Smith has played the Chiefs 3 times…
6+ catches in all 3 games
99+ yards in all 3 games
2+ explosives in all 3 gamesHas DESTROYED their zone.

While Smith has not been great in the playoffs this postseason, he could be in line for a breakout performance in what could be a high-scoring Super Bowl matchup. He is worth a look in DFS tournaments as a player who could be slightly less rostered than some of the other stars on the slate.
