P.J. Higgins Signs Minor-League Deal With Cincinnati
1 min agoAccording to MiLB.com, catcher P.J. Higgins signed a minor-league contract with the Cincinnati Reds. Higgins spent the entire 2024 season with Triple-A Louisville and will likely open the 2025 season there as well. Across 134 games with the Louisville Bats, Higgins held a .259/.320/.385 slash line with 32 doubles, 11 home runs, and a 45:120 BB:K ratio. Higgins last saw MLB action during the 2022 season with the Chicago Cubs. Over 74 contests that season, the backstop posted a modest .229/.310/.383 line with just six home runs and a 22:58 BB:K ratio. Given his lack of recent MLB experience, fantasy managers should expect Higgins to open the campaign at the Triple-A level.
