Mathew Barzal Out Indefinitely
19 seconds agoNew York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal (lower body) will be out indefinitely, the team announced on Monday. Barzal suffered a lower-body injury in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Islanders star also missed time with an upper-body injury earlier in the season. He has skated in only 30 games, recording six goals and 20 points. Anthony Duclair skated on the first line instead of Barzal on Sunday against the Florida Panthers. His struggles this season continued, as Duclair went scoreless in a 6-3 loss without registering any shots on goal. For the season, Duclair has scored only four goals and eight points in 23 appearances.
