Jackson Chourio 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Phenom Can Be Five-Category Producer
4 mins agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio looked like a 20-year-old rookie through the first two months of the 2024 season before catching fire in June. Over his first 50 games, Chourio was hitting .210 with a .254 on-base percentage, five home runs, and seven steals. The following 98 contests saw the rookie hit .303 (.358 OBP) with 16 long balls, 15 steals, and a modest 18.5 percent strikeout rate. The toolsy youngster's learning curve in the batter's box offered some a great buy-low window while the 97th-percentile sprint speed kept chipping in steals. One expects more experience to allow his plus-plus speed to play up more on the basepaths as he hones his timing. And he only shifted up to the top third of the batting order in the second half of the year so those attached to his 2024 seasonal line may be surprised by more R+RBI opportunities throughout '25. Late January ATC projections give him 171 R+RBI with 25 home runs, 27 steals, and a solid .271 average. That said, some patience may be needed through growing pains and further adjustment battles for his age-21 season. But his proven potential to hit near .300 with pop and speed plants him within RotoBaller's top 20, with an early aggregate ADP close to that 20th pick.
