Kaiden Guhle Out Indefinitely Following Surgery
1 month agoMontreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle is expected to miss significant time following surgery to repair a lacerated quadriceps muscle. The team has ruled him out indefinitely. Guhle sustained the injury in Tuesday's contest against the Winnipeg Jets. He made his 44th appearance of the season in the game. The 23-year-old has tallied four goals and 14 points with 100 blocks and 67 hits. Jayden Struble, who was recalled from the AHL on Wednesday, appears set for a regular role in the team with Guhle out. Struble is a more physical defenseman, with 53 hits registered in 26 outings this season, but he offers far less offensively. The 23-year-old has posted two goals and three assists with 27 shots.
