Giants "Open To Anything" With No. 3 Overall Pick
1 day agoOn Tuesday at Senior Bowl practices, New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen said the team is "open to anything" with the No. 3 overall pick in April's NFL Draft. The organization needs a new franchise quarterback after parting ways with Daniel Jones midway through last season, but the 2025 quarterback class is not viewed as a strong group of signal-callers. Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward are expected to be the first two quarterbacks off the board, but there is a lot of unknown about which draft slots they could be selected in. The Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns are picking ahead of the G-Men, and both of those franchises need a quarterback of the future, too. "We're in a good position sitting at three with the players that are available," Schoen said. "By process of elimination, we know we're going to get a good player. Regardless of what happens the next couple of months, we know there's going to be a really good player there." It feels like New York is likely the most desperate franchise for a new signal caller with Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll firmly on the hot seat, but the team could go "best player available" or trade up or down from the No. 3 slot.
