Buccaneers Interview Nick Caley For Offensive-Coordinator Job
1 day agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers interviewed Los Angeles Rams passing-game coordinator/tight ends coach Nick Caley for their offensive-coordinator job on Tuesday night, according to sources. Caley will also interview for the same position with the Houston Texans on Thursday. Tampa is looking for their fourth offensive coordinator in the last four years after Liam Coen left to become the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach. Caley coached TEs with the New England Patriots for six years before joining Sean McVay's staff in L.A. in 2023. In his first year in New England, Rob Gronkowski earned his fifth Pro Bowl nod in 2017. If the Bucs were to hire him as their new coordinator, it would certainly be good news for TE Cade Otton, who had a career-high 600 receiving yards in 2024. However, it remains to be seen how he'd mesh with quarterback Baker Mayfield, who is also coming off his best season as a pro under Coen.
