Over the last two years, Thomas ranks in the 98th percentile for proximity on shots from 100-150 yards, a range that accounts for 37.6% of all approaches at Pebble Beach. His flat stick has finally started turning in positive results as well, gaining strokes to the field in putting in his previous two events. Thomas has also widely been considered one of the best wedge players on tour, and with Pebble Beach being the shortest par-72 course of the season at just 6,972 yards, the course is a perfect fit for him.
