Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (illness) practiced on Friday and may be ready to return to the lineup on Saturday against the Edmonton Oilers. The veteran has missed a couple of games due to an illness. Zucker has had a strong season in Buffalo, notching 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 46 games. He has recorded three multi-point games in eight outings during January. If he's good to go on Saturday, Zucker should reclaim a top-six role and join the first power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Monday evening to face the Edmonton Oilers. Zucker participated in the team's morning skate and the plan is for him to suit up. Zucker has missed the previous six contests due to this injury. However, while the 33-year-old was sidelined, he signed a two-year extension with the Sabres worth $9.5 million. Before his injury, Zucker was enjoying an offensive surge as he found the back of the net twice and added seven helpers. Through 54 total contests this season, Zucker has tallied 44 points (18 goals) with 99 shots on goal, 52 hits, and 18 blocked shots. Zucker has tallied 16 of his points on the power-play. If he were to return on Monday, he will likely return to the second offensive line.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) will not be available for Thursday's contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Zucker will now miss his fifth-straight contest. However, Mike Harrington noted that his absence is still injury related and not related to roster management. As a result, Jordan Greenway will continue to see time on the second line, which will keep JJ Peterka on the top unit alongside Tage Thompson. Before his injury, Zucker enjoyed a nice offensive surge as he found the back of the net twice and added seven helpers through eight games. During this stretch, he tallied 17 shots on goal, with six hits and three blocked shots. Through 54 contests, the 33-year-old scored 18 goals and added 26 helpers, with 16 of his points coming on the power-play.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) will miss a second consecutive game on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. Earlier this week, Zucker suffered a lower-body injury while blocking a shot. The veteran has landed on the shelf after registering 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) in 54 games during a highly productive campaign. Sam Lafferty has taken Zucker's spot in the lineup. Lafferty is a fourth-line grinder, offering zero fantasy value. He has posted five points (two goals, three assists) in 40 appearances.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Zucker (lower body) is a game-time decision for Thursday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. The veteran forward was also a game-time call on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks. He was able to suit up for Tuesday's matchup, logging 12:57 of ice time. Tuesday marked Zucker's first game of the month without any points. In 54 outings, he has notched 18 goals and 44 points this season. Sam Lafferty is expected to take Zucker's spot in the lineup on Thursday if he can't play. Lafferty has far less fantasy appeal and should be ignored by managers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
