The Tennessee Titans currently own the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, unlike last year, we don't fully know which way the Titans plan to go with this selection. They could take a quarterback or pass on the position altogether.
According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Titans "aren't locked in" on taking a quarterback with the first overall pick. Although the quarterback position remains a huge need for this team, Tennessee could decide to go elsewhere with its top selection.
So, who will be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft? Let's take a look at three possible players who could go first overall in this year's draft.

QB Cam Ward
If the Titans plan to go with a quarterback at No. 1 overall, it will almost certainly be Cam Ward. Ward is the best quarterback prospect in this draft class and is coming off a fantastic season with Miami (FL). He threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns while finishing fourth in the Heisman voting.
Cam Ward has a ton of raw talent on film.
But he’ll need to be paired with the right coach to put it all together consistently in the NFL

This selection for the Titans would immediately fix their quarterback room. Will Levis does not appear to be the answer for this team, as he threw just 13 touchdowns to 12 interceptions last season and went 2-10 as Tennessee's starter a year ago.
As a result, it would make the most sense for the Titans to take Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. He is the betting favorite to go first overall on most sites, and the quarterback position is Tennessee's biggest need entering the 2025-26 season.
WR/CB Travis Hunter
On Wednesday afternoon, Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker said that the team "won't pass on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL Draft." Well, when looking at which players are potentially generational in this year's draft, Travis Hunter is definitely at the top of that list.
Hunter played both cornerback and wide receiver at Colorado, where he was exceptional on both sides of the ball. He caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a wideout last year and totaled four interceptions and 11 passes deflected as a cornerback. That helped him win the Heisman in December.
It will be interesting to see if Hunter continues to play both sides of the ball in the pros. However, his potential to play wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL makes him a potential target for the Titans at No. 1 overall. The former Colorado star has the second-best odds (+155) on FanDuel Sportsbook to go first overall.
DE Abdul Carter
It would be somewhat of a shock to see the Titans pass on both Cam Ward and Travis Hunter to take edge-rusher Abdul Carter in the draft. But there's no doubt that Carter is one of the most talented players in this year's draft class.
Carter totaled 12 sacks in his final season at Penn State, and his 24 tackles for loss led all defensive players in Division I. So, Carter could wind up being that generational player from this draft class. Many draft experts have also said that the edge-rusher is the best player in this draft.
Said this on yesterday's Sportscenter Special...
For me, it's Abdul Carter 1st overall and then there's a gap to every other prospect in this class.

As a result, the Titans could go this route with the first overall pick. Having an elite pass-rusher will boost this Tennessee defense for years to come. Carter has the fourth-best odds (+950) on FanDuel Sportsbook to go No. 1 overall.
