A 3-14 record (and the benefit of tiebreakers) put the Tennessee Titans on the clock for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Inconsistent (to put it politely) quarterback play led to a pile of losses in Nashville. Between Will Levis, Marcus Mariota, Vince Young, and more, Ryan Tannehill has the most successful stretch in Tennessee since Steve McNair. It's due time for the Titans to find a franchise quarterback.
But will they select one with the top overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft? Let's dive in.

Tennessee's Quarterbacks In 2024
Following an up-and-down rookie campaign, 2023 second-round pick Will Levis was a disaster in Year 2. Levis committed more giveaways than touchdowns, leading Tennessee to a 2-10 record in 12 starts.

Veteran quarterback Mason Rudolph filled in the gaps, whether due to Levis' injuries or benching. He was marginally better (1-4 record) but also turned the football over more than he scored. After five seasons in the professional ranks, it's clear Rudolph is nothing more than a career backup.
Will the Tennessee Titans Take a Quarterback With the No. 1 Overall Pick?
It's painfully obvious the Titans need a franchise quarterback, but are they in love with one of the top available options? There's no can't-miss prospect in this year's class, ala Caleb Williams or Trevor Lawrence.
Colorado's Shedeur Sanders and Miami's Cam Ward top most draft boards. Sanders was the betting favorite a month ago. Ward is now in pole position.
The Titans have a new general manager. At Mike Borgonzi's introductory news conference, the team's president of football operations noted they "won't pass on a generational talent with the first pick."

Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter is regarded as the most talented prospect in the draft. Penn State's Abdul Carter is a menace pass-rusher. If the Titans don't love Sanders or Ward, selecting Hunter or Carter will improve the roster.
There's also the option of trading back. Cleveland (second overall), both New York teams (third and seventh), and Las Vegas (sixth) need a new signal-caller. A hefty trade package (similar to what Chicago got from Carolina in 2023) may be too enticing.
