Aaron Rai took a few weeks off after a T-15 at The Sentry. The English golfer has one career win at the 2024 Wyndham Championship. Other than a bit of an egg laid at The Open Championships, Rai had a solid second half to 2024. There were four Top 10 results including a runner-up at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Then, there were a couple more respectable Top 25 showings at the regular season ending events. Rai took most of the Fall off to work on his game. One of the weaker links was his inconsistent putter. He ranked 99th in strokes gained at -0.018. Some events he would be great and some not so much. Putts per round suffered as a result at 29.36 (142nd), A key for Rai to be considered in more DFS and betting mixes will be consistency in 2025. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

Since leaving the West Coast, Aaron Rai has been scaring leaderboards at every turn with T4, T11, and T14 finishes in his last three starts. Those have come on the back of consistent putting and red-hot ball-striking. In his previous three outings, Rai has averaged plus-0.436 strokes gained putting, plus-1.226 strokes gained on approach, and plus-0.876 strokes gained off the tee. His success at Memorial Park also can't be overlooked, with two T7s and a T19 on his resume in three career starts. Difficult par-fours and the need for success on par-fives fit Rai's strength, as he ranks third this season in par-four scoring (3.92) and 25th in par-five scoring (4.52). In terms of safety, the Englishman is about as comfortable as it gets, even at $11,800 on FanDuel.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller

Aaron Rai has struggled to put his full game together so far in 2025, recording a T15, a missed cut, a T40, and most recently a T37 at Torrey Pines. He now shifts his focus to the Mexican Open, an event where he finished T19 last year. This course is similar to last week's and will benefit players who hit the ball far off the tee and are proficient with long irons, as 63.5% of all approach shots came from this distance last year. Rai is the epitome of hitting the ball straight but not far, as he finished last year as the No. 1 player in driving accuracy but just 153rd in driving distance. He also finished 2024 18th in proximity from 175-200 yards and ninth in strokes gained from tee to green. Coming off a solid finish at Torrey Pines, Rai should have enough momentum to get his season on track. Fantasy managers should highly consider playing him at his $9,400 price tag on DraftKings.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

Aaron Rai secured his first PGA Tour victory last week at the Wyndham Championship. While Rai has been performing well this year, he has not been able to clinch a win until now. This week, he will prepare for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. In previous years, Rai finished T49 in 2023 and T51 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He is entering the tournament with an impressive streak of making the cut in 11 straight tournaments. It's worth noting that in the past 12 months, Rai ranks in the 89th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is significant because last year's FedEx St. Jude Championship saw over 42% of approach shots being made from this distance. With Rai's recent win and consistent performance throughout the season, it may be worthwhile to consider him for DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

Aaron Rai has strung together four consecutive top-20 finishes, including a T19 at the US Open, which ties his best finish in a major. Rai has been working with putting coach John Graham and has gained plus-16.59 strokes putting in his last 12 rounds. A notable issue with Rai is his Round 4 putting splits, which have lost him 2.78 strokes in that same stretch. If Rai can overcome his poor Sunday putting performances, his tee-to-green game leaves him with a great chance to win a tournament soon.--Byron Lindeque
