Frederik Andersen Makes A Winning Return
36 seconds agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen defeated Chicago 4-3 in overtime on Monday as he made his first start since Oct. 26. Andersen, who finished with 22 saves, was beaten twice in the opening frame. However, Carolina quickly tied the game in the second and eventually won with an overtime tally by Sebastian Aho. Andersen improved to 4-1-0 for the year. He has logged a 1.78 goals-against average with a .929 save percentage. Pyotr Kochetkov will likely take over the crease on Tuesday against Dallas, but Andersen should see more action later in the week as the team faces Columbus on Friday night and the Islanders on Saturday.
