Justin Lower finished tied for 62nd at the ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am three weeks ago and is returning to action this week for the Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta. He has a strong history at this tournament, having finished tied for third in 2024 and 64th in 2022. Over the past year, Lower ranks in the 64th percentile for greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from more than 200 yards in the fairway. This is particularly noteworthy because, at last year's Mexico Open, over 43% of approach shots were taken from this distance. Lower might not receive much attention this week, but he could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups.

Things had cooled off for Justin Lower before a second-place finish last week in Mexico. He had struggled mightily with the driver, averaging -0.31 strokes gained off the tee since the start of the fall run. It's unclear whether that area improved last week thanks to no Shotlink data, but given his high finish, one would assume it did. The 35-year-old is making his fourth consecutive start at Port Royal and has yet to finish outside the top 20. With his newfound confidence and solid course history, he is an intriguing play at $11,100 on FanDuel.

From a cuts-made perspective, Justin Lower is one of the best in the field, as the 35-year-old looks to make his ninth cut in a row this week in Utah. However, it has been difficult for him to crack the top 25 in most of them with an average finish of 39th over that span. The good news is that his last two finishes of T28 and T7 are mostly his best in this run and Black Desert Resort seems like it could play to his strength of being the third-best player in this field in strokes gained putting on bentgrass greens (averaging +0.95 strokes gained putting per round over his last 12 rounds). The bad news is off the tee, where he ranks 126th in driving distance (295.6) and 98th in driving accuracy (58.83%). Having solid outputs on the greens is great, but the discrepancies with the driver make him an iffy name to trust at $9,600 on FanDuel.

Justin Lower netted his first top-10 finish in five months at the Procore Championship. The American golfer finished tied for seventh behind a solid week and a mostly mistake-free 71 on the final Sunday. The problem was Lower could not make enough birdie putts to truly contend for the win. The tournament in Jackson has proven to be a bit of a struggle for Lower. He finished 45th and missed the cut in his previous two appearances. Lower tends to have issues off the tee, where he drives the ball only 295.6%, and his driving accuracy is a mere 60.17%. He ranks slightly below average when it comes to proximity, scrambling, putts per round, and one-putt percentage. Lower will keep trying, but he could be a DFS option to stay away from.
