San Jose Sharks forward Mikael Granlund (lower body) will be in the lineup on Monday versus Boston. It was unclear if Granlund would be available for the contest after he sat out Sunday's practice with a lower-body injury. His availability is massive for the Sharks, as Granlund has been their leading man in 2024-25. He tops the team in scoring and assists, having notched 37 points and 25 helpers in 46 games. Granlund is expected to skate with Fabian Zetterlund and Boston College product Will Smith. Recent times have been tricky for Granlund, as he has finished pointless in seven of his past 10 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars forward Mikael Granlund finished Sunday's 5-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets with two assists. Thomas Harley and Mikko Rantanen were each set up by Granlund in the first and third periods, respectively. These mark his first even-strength helpers of the playoffs. While Granlund played an important role in Sunday's win, his overall efforts have been underwhelming in the postseason, especially considering he has been on the same line with the scorching-hot Rantanen. The 33-year-old has recorded only four points (one goal, three assists) in 10 games. Granlund has had three 60-point regular-season campaigns over the past four years, so he is certainly capable of much more on the offensive end.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars right wing Mikael Granlund found the back of the net twice during their overtime victory against the Anaheim Ducks. Granlund would score his first goal of the evening in the second frame during 5-on-5 play. Later in overtime, Granlund would seal the victory with his second goal of the evening, this time on a backhand shot. This was his first two-point outing in eight games. Over his previous nine contests, Granlund has scored three goals and added two helpers. In 68 contests this season, the 33-year-old has found the back of the net 18 times and added 38 helpers. He has logged 2.2 shots on goal per game with 48 hits and 52 blocks. Granlund will look to stay hot on the scoresheet during their next contest on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Dallas Stars forward Mikael Granlund netted the decisive goal as Finland beat Sweden 4-3 in Saturday's 4 Nations Face-Off clash. Following a goalless third period, less than two minutes had been played in the extra frame when Granlund found the back of the net in a three-on-one situation. Florida Panthers defenseman Niko Mikkola picked up the only assist on the play. Granlund has been in excellent form this season in the NHL, posting 49 points (15 goals, 34 assists) in 56 appearances, and he hasn't let down his country either. The versatile forward has amassed one goal and one assist through Finland's first two games at the 4 Nations Face-Off.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

The Dallas Stars have acquired forward Mikael Granlund in a trade with the San Jose Sharks. Defenseman Cody Ceci will also move to Texas, while the Stars gave up a 2025 first-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round pick in the transaction. The fourth-round selection will become a third-round choice if Dallas makes it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Both players are pending unrestricted free agents. Granlund and Ceci will help cover for injured players. The Stars offense is without Tyler Seguin (hip) and Mason Marchment (face), while the backline is missing Miro Heiskanen (knee) and Nils Lundkvist (shoulder), who has just had season-ending surgery. Granlund led the Sharks with 45 points (15 goals, 30 assists) in 52 games and looks like a good fit for Dallas. His productivity might improve with more talent around him.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
