CBB DFS: DraftKings Afternoon Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/18/25)

Braden Smith - NCAAB DFS Picks, College Basketball Rankings

Today's Afternoon DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/18/25. Mike M's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We have another action-packed afternoon slate this week. It all starts in Eugene with Purdue going Duck hunting. Wisconsin is also on the West Coast to face USC. Colorado is in Stillwater to face the Pokes. Tennessee heads down I-40 to face Vanderbilt in Nashville.

The afternoon rolls on with South Carolina visiting the Lloyd Noble Center and the reeling team inside of it. Texas is Gator hunting (or Gator bait) in Gainesville. Notre Dame heads up to the Loud House to face Syracuse. Iowa State is in Morgantown to face the Mountaineers. It's the Egg Bowl on hardwood from StarkVegas. Arkansas heads up to Columbia to take on Missouri.

We end this in Raleigh with Cal in town. This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 1/18/25, starting at 3 p.m. EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Braden Smith, Purdue ($10.8K)

G.I. Joe Classified Series Official Thread 2024! - Page 123 - HissTank.com

Okay...I'll begrudgingly admit that it's not the shoes. Smith is just an elite passer. That's not all he can do. He is also scoring 15 points per game (he has been over that mark in five of the last six games) and averages 2.3 steals per game.

The ceiling is high even if the game is a slog. Just look at the Washington game this week. 127 combined points and Smith still cleared 40 DraftKings points.

Markus Burton, Notre Dame ($8K)

Burton has never been a great shooter, but he is better than his recent performances. His work from the foul line is keeping his scoring totals high and his defense is as good as ever. Those shots will start falling again, giving Burton a high ceiling for the price.

Wesley Yates III, USC ($6.3K)

If you watched any USC games back in November or early December, you would think they would be lucky to win 10 games. They were that out-of-sorts. Something has clicked over the last 5-6 weeks, which is right around the time that Yates joined the starting five.

He has been a sneaky-good scorer for the Trojans while playing good defense and running the offense. He has at least 26 DraftKings points in every 2025 game so far.

Caleb Grill, Missouri ($5.6K)

We get one more chance to buy somewhat low on Grill. He scored 22 points in the win over Florida in Gainesville this week, Grill's best game since November 11. It was also his first game of 30 minutes since his return on December 30. Grill is still a bargain at this price. He could put up massive numbers again.

Morris Ugusuk, South Carolina ($4.3K)

His first career start against Auburn could have been better, but his second career start against Vanderbilt last week was splendid. Ugusuk racked up 31 DraftKings points in 28 minutes. He will have a tougher night shooting against Oklahoma, but he should still get at least 20 DraftKings points. I'll take it for the price.

Also consider: Boogie Fland, Arkansas ($9.3K); Andrej Stojakovic, California ($8.8K); Desmond Claude, USC ($7.9K); Jeremiah Fears, Oklahoma ($7.7K);  Tre Johnson, Texas ($7.4K); Chibuzo Agbo, USC ($6.7K); Tamin Lipsey, Iowa State ($6.3K); Jayden Taylor, North Carolina State ($5.8K); Tramon Mark, Texas ($5.3K); Chris Manon, Vanderbilt ($4.6K); Jamyron Keller, Oklahoma State ($4K)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Jalon Moore, Oklahoma ($8.4K)

Oklahoma won't be able to win a SEC game without a big game from Moore. That giant second half against Texas was all for naught, but it shows us how high the ceiling is. That makes him the best option up front tonight, especially when the price is considered.

Malik Dia, Mississippi ($7.7K)

The Belmont transfer has been a force since SEC play began. He has played at least 25 minutes in three straight games and hasn't been under 34 DraftKings points in any of them. He racked up a monster double-double (23 points, 19 rebounds) on Alabama this week. What will he do for an encore?

Eddie Lampkin Jr., Syracuse ($6.7K)

Lampkin has three straight double-doubles and is taking on one of the weaker fronts in the ACC today. He likely won't hit 40 DraftKings points today, but a third straight game in the 30s is very likely.

Bangot Dak, Colorado ($5.7K)

Dak starting his first game since the second game of the season against Cincinnati. All he did was put up 19 points, eight rebounds, and eight freaking blocks. It's safe to say that he'll start again today in one of the best matchups he could ask for.

Rashaun Agee, USC ($4.7K)

Agee has put up 52 DraftKings points in his two starts, but more importantly, USC scored big wins against Big Ten (18) heavyweights Iowa and Illinois. It's not a coincidence. Agee is a strong presence in the middle who isn't afraid to take shots. His work on the boards makes him a double-double threat that you don't often find in this price range.

Also consider: Joshua Jefferson, Iowa State ($9.6K); Cameron Matthews, Mississippi State ($8.3K); Trey Kaufman-Renn, Purdue ($8K); Tae Davis, Notre Dame ($7.3K); RJ Melendez, Mississippi State ($6.4K); Jonas Aidoo, Arkansas ($6K); Jyare Davis, Syracuse ($5.6K); Rueben Chinyelu, Florida ($5.3K); Chris Bell, Syracuse ($4.4K); Mohamed Wague, Oklahoma ($4.2K)
