With the fantasy football season over, many managers have turned to participating in DFS contests. These contests are a way for many people to still have a rooting interest during the playoffs. The toughest part, though, is deciding which players are the best to start.
In this article, we'll determine if Sam LaPorta, Zach Ertz, and Dallas Goedert are great tight end starts during the Divisional Round. All three tight ends have been solid fantasy options recently and could be good picks in DFS contests this weekend.
So, are LaPorta, Ertz, and Goedert solid starts during the Divisional Round? Let's dive in and find out.
Should I Start Sam LaPorta for Fantasy Football?
After a slow start to the year, things have certainly picked up for LaPorta. The Lions tight end has scored in double figures in PPR formats in six straight weeks while seeing at least six targets in eight consecutive games. As a result, he'll be a solid play in DFS contests this weekend against the Commanders.

Although Washington has done a solid job against tight ends for most of the year, this secondary has allowed over 11 PPR fantasy points to four different tight ends over the past eight games. Given that LaPorta has caught at least six passes in three of the past four contests, he is a top option to roll with at the position in the Divisional Round.
Should I Start Zach Ertz for Fantasy Football?
Ertz has surely had his strong fantasy games over the past few weeks. He has scored above 12 PPR fantasy points in five of the past eight games and has caught six receiving touchdowns since Week 11. However, expectations should be tempered for the veteran tight end in the Divisional Round against the Lions.
Zach Ertz on when he knew Jayden Daniels was different:

Detroit gave up the fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends in the regular season, and only three tight ends have scored in double figures in PPR formats against this secondary this year. So, Ertz will be a riskier tight end option in DFS contests this weekend.
Should I Start Dallas Goedert for Fantasy Football?
Dallas Goedert is often overlooked in this Philadelphia offense because of Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith. However, Goedert can be a sneaky play in DFS contests this weekend. He just totaled 14.7 PPR fantasy points in last week's win and has seen at least five targets in four of his past five games.

On top of that, he'll now face a Rams secondary that has struggled to stop opposing tight ends this season. Los Angeles allowed the second-most fantasy points to the position in the regular season, and T.J. Hockenson just caught five passes for 64 yards and one touchdown last week against this defense. That makes Goedert one of the best value plays in DFS contests in the Divisional Round.
