Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is far from an elite fantasy football or NFL tight end. However, he is a solid option for Matthew Stafford and the Rams’ passing attack.
The veteran tight end suffered a torn ACL in last year’s playoff matchup against the Detroit Lions. Unfortunately, the injury forced him to miss most of the 2024 regular season, playing in only the final three contests.
Yet, Higbee was solid in those outings, ranking as the TE18 over the final three weeks, averaging four targets and 7.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, scoring two touchdowns.

Is Tyler Higbee Out For The Season?
The veteran tight end finished the regular season well, totaling five receptions on seven targets for 46 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 13.1 fantasy points in the Week 18 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Many had high hopes for Higbee during the playoffs.
Unfortunately, he suffered a chest injury in last night’s win over the Minnesota Vikings. Higbee left the game and was transported to a local hospital after spitting up blood. Thankfully, the veteran tight end traveled home with the team and should play in Sunday’s divisional-round matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to head coach Sean McVay.
#Rams TE Tyler Higbee was spitting up a little blood last night and that’s why he was sent to the hospital, per Sean McVay, who said Higbee traveled home with the team and incredibly expects to play against the #Eagles this Sunday.

Tyler Higbee’s Divisional Round Playoff Fantasy Outlook
Higbee played only 23% of the snaps in the win over the Vikings, totaling 12 plays on offense. Yet, he played well before leaving the game early with the chest injury. The veteran tight end caught all five of his targets for 58 receiving yards, scoring 8.3 fantasy points.

However, fantasy players shouldn’t expect Higbee to have another strong performance against the Eagles. Philadelphia held tight ends to eight fantasy points per game during the regular season, the fifth-fewest in the NFL. Last week, Tucker Kraft had five receptions for 26 receiving yards, totaling 6.1 fantasy points against the Eagles.
