3 months agoWhen asked if he will return to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, quarterback Russell Wilson said, "that's the plan." Wilson also said he "loves it" in Pittsburgh, but the decision on whether he will return next season ultimately isn't his decision to make. After signing a one-year deal with Pittsburgh, the eight-time Pro Bowler got a late start to the 2024 campaign due to a lingering calf injury. He eventually took over the starting gig from Justin Fields and completed 63.7% of his 336 pass attempts for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions in 11 starts during the regular season. Wilson definitely gave the offense a spark, but the Steelers ran out of gas late and he just didn't have enough weapons through the air to make him a realistic QB1 option on a weekly basis.
