Hey, RotoBallers! I want to introduce myself formally. My name is Jon Irvin. Some of you may know me from the Discord channels, and you know I love breaking down DFS slates, especially in the MLB and NHL. I enjoy deep dumpster diving, so to speak, and look forward to helping find the low-owned, overlooked, and unwanted plays.
I predominantly play on DraftKings, so some of my picks are more tailored to their point/price system, but a good spot is a good spot regardless of platform.

DraftKings and FanDuel NHL DFS Picks: First Look Stats

This looks at the average between the L25 and L10, weighing the L10 heavier to help find certain positive or negative trends.
DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Value in net is key on DK with a three-point bonus at the 35-save mark. We can afford to give up an extra goal or two if our goalie can see a steady shot volume against him. Those extra few hundred can get us those top-line forwards.
Darcy Kuemper - DK $7.2K || FD $7.7K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
If fading McDavid and the rest of the Oilers tonight, look no farther than the man in the net facing them. Kuemper has been on a hot streak, allowing only 2 goals over the last 3 games and making over 30 saves twice. Darcy should face steady volume with EDM averaging over 30.5 SF/60 but the Kings' defense could potentially limit most of them to lower danger shots.

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
Morgan Frost - DK $3.8K || FD $4.6K
Opponent - Florida Panthers
Morgan has been on a heater and sets up tonight to center the top line in Philly. Looking at the standings most would think this should be a cakewalk for the Panthers, but metrics show tonight's matchup may be a much closer battle. Frost shares full PP1 correlation with his linemates giving him even more TOI.
Others to consider: Yegor Sharangovich (DK $3.7K || FD $5.5K )

Eetu Luostarinen - DK $2.9K || FD $6.7K
Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers
Et tu Eetu, I'm looking for you to be an assassin on the net tonight, not a stab in the back. Even though Philadelphia has great offensive and defensive metrics, their goaltending has been suspect at best. Luostarinen has found a recent home on FLA2 alongside Sam Bennett and Matty Tkachuk giving him a slight bump in TOI.

When selecting defensemen, especially on DK, I tend to find players with a high chance at both blocks and shots and not concentrate so much on point dependency.
Niko Mikkola - DK $2.7K || FD $4.1K
Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers
Miiiikkolaaaaa! Sound the giant alphorn for today's value blueliner. Unfortunately, Niko has been held without a point over the last 5 games but his production has still provided a solid floor. Over the same 5-game span, Mikkola has amassed 9 shots and 14 blocks while reaching over 20 minutes TOI. With Aaron Ekblad on the shelf for tonight, Mikkola should have ample opportunities to pad the boxscore with a few extra minutes.
