17 seconds agoAccording to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Atlanta Falcons have fired defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake. Defensive line coach Jay Rodgers has also been released as well. The Falcons failed to meet expectations this past season, as they just missed the playoffs. They allowed over 30 points in each contest during their final two games. The Falcons defense allowed the tenth-most total yards per game (345.2) and the tenth-most total points per game (24.9). More importantly, this defensive unit struggled to generate pressure all season long as they tallied the second-fewest total sacks in the sport in 2024 (31).--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
