It isn't always easy finding the best player to put in your FLEX spots in fantasy football. While your other slots typically have at least some players who are sure-fire starters every week, and you don't have to question whether to put them on the bench, this isn't the case for everyone on your rosters, typically.
Buffalo Bills running back Ray Davis, San Francisco 49ers running back Isaac Guerendo, and Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins all (arguably) fit into this category of players. There's a reasonable amount of doubt surrounding each one's ability to produce in Week 18.
We'll break them all down for you going into Week 18.
Should I Start Ray Davis for Fantasy Football?
He does have some upside. The starters for Buffalo will play but will be taken out quickly so they can get some extra rest for their playoff game next week. That likely means Davis will fill in for lead-back James Cook and play much of the game after that. How much time he has to split with pass-catching back Ty Johnson remains to be seen.

In his limited opportunities, he's been very productive. And the opposing team, the New England Patriots, has a very poor run defense. We like him as an RB3/FLEX play.
Should I Start Isaac Guerendo for Fantasy Football?
Yes, absolutely. There is no reason to bench him. The 49ers RB1 role is incredibly valuable in the hands of an explosive athlete like the rookie Guerendo. If he can stay healthy, he would be a lock for double-digit PPR fantasy points... if quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) played. The problem is that he won't.
I think it was Foerster who called @isaacguerendo a guy who can break a safeties angle. Kevin Byard wasn't ready for this speed. pic.twitter.com/QoeEFVAziO

Without Purdy, we still like the rookie sensation as an RB3/FLEX, and he's worth starting. The explosiveness is just next-level.
Should I Start J.K. Dobbins for Fantasy Football?
Without a doubt, yes. The Chargers will be motivated to win this one, and Dobbins scored 15.3 PPR fantasy points in his first game back from injury. The opposing Las Vegas Raiders have a very poor offense and are probably tanking. This is an easy decision because Dobbins is a great RB.
JK Dobbins is ABSOLUTELY back (unless he has to run over 25+ yards then he gasses out but hey I’m sure that improves throughout the year as his conditioning improves)
Crazy to say it, but LAC’s locked in RB1 moving forward.

He stomped the Raiders the last time he faced them, so this isn't really a tough decision. Las Vegas will be completely outmatched talent-wise by Los Angeles' offense, and Dobbins should get plenty of work to help put the game away.
His time away due to injury could provide an added and hidden benefit -- his body will be overall fresher moving forward.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically. Receivers' main job of catching the football leads to them scoring more points per touch, and those WRs that consistently get high volume can produce great results with a strong floor. Not every WR is like this, though, […]
