CBB DFS: DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (12/28/24)

We had a couple of days off from the hardwood, but we're back with an all-day affair for our Saturday. We have four on-campus games and one from the L.A. suburbs.

We start in Memphis with Mississippi making the trip up from Oxford. Next up is New Mexico in Fort Collins to take on the Rams. Gonzaga faces UCLA in Inglewood. Nevada is way up high in Laramie to face the Cowboys. We end in sunny San Diego with Utah State taking on the Aztecs.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks on DraftKings on 12/28/24, starting at 2 p.m. EST. I’ll give multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Donovan Dent, New Mexico ($9K)

4PT Stats: New Mexico junior guard Donovan Dent is off to a hot start this season. In the win over VCU, he posted 40 points, 5 boards, and 4 assists while shooting 14-26 from the field, 2-4 from deep, and 10-11 at the line.

I expected the scoring to be up and the assists to be down for Dent this year with JT Toppin gone. The scoring is up, but the assists have been a little above last year's numbers too. Dent does everything and does it well. That gives him a floor in DFS that few have.

Sean Pedulla, Mississippi ($8K)

It was a slow start for the Virginia Tech transfer, but Pedulla has at least 34 DraftKings points in every December game. Even in games where his shot isn't falling, Pedulla has done enough to stay relevant in DFS circles. His ceiling isn't as high as Dent's, but the floor is just as high if not higher.

Obi Agbim, Wyoming ($6.6K)

Agbim is one of the better shooters in the Mountain West. He can hit from anywhere. Strangely enough, Agbim has been a significantly better shooter at home. Part of it is the competition (Bellarmine, Utah Tech, Tennessee State, and Southeast Louisiana). However, the DFS output is nearly identical. Get him involved in a close game at home and Agbim could break the slate.

Skyy Clark, UCLA ($5K)

The Bruins are still trying to figure out how all of their pieces fit together. Clark has come on of late, scoring 32 points over the last three games (his season average is 6.3). UCLA needs his scoring and his defense. He should become more of a DFS asset. We can see that he's getting comfortable in L.A.

Also consider: PJ Haggerty, Memphis ($9.2K); Ryan Nembhard, Gonzaga ($8.5K); Miles Byrd, San Diego State ($7.2K); Davon Barnes, Mississippi ($5.2K); Taj DeGourville, San Diego State ($4.5K)

Bilodeau has been a big part of UCLA so far this year. He's a good shooter for his size, creating a matchup problem. The only team that has been able to deal with him so far is Oregon. Gonzaga might give him some issues, but Bilodeau should be able to pile on rebounds to cover the scoring.

Ben Gregg, Gonzaga ($6.2K)

Gregg still doesn't play a ton of minutes, but he makes the most of his court time. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in all but the UConn game since Thanksgiving. This won't be an easy matchup for Gregg, but I think he'll see more of the UCLA second unit than the first. His scoring chops don't seem like a passing thing.

Jared Coleman-Jones, San Diego State ($5.1K)

As with many of the San Diego State players, Coleman-Jones isn't much of a scorer, but he is strong on the boards and a good defensive player. That makes him a sneaky-good play in DFS circles since he doesn't depend on scoring to hit value. The upside isn't that high, but he's a good filler piece for our lineups.

Filip Borovicanin, New Mexico ($4.2K)

Borovicanin has played at least 30 minutes in two of the last four games. He is still inconsistent on offense, but he has proven to be an asset on the glass. Borovicanin provides good upside at the price, but his inconsistency leaves the floor lower than many others.

Also consider: Graham Ike, Gonzaga ($7.9K); Dain Dainja, Memphis ($6.7K); Jaemyn Brakefield, Mississippi ($6.3K); Magoon Gwath, San Diego State ($5.9K); Malik Dia, Mississippi ($5.4K); Justin McBride, Nevada ($4.6K)
