A trio of essential and fantasy-relevant players got injured in Week 16. The timing of these injuries is unfortunate, as fantasy managers who have made it this far were expecting high-end production from these three. However, that is the life of fantasy football, and all we can do is make the most informed decisions possible for our lineup and enjoy the games.
Jalen Hurts, Kenneth Walker III, and Drake London have contributed to their teams' success this year and to fantasy managers. Each is dealing with a different injury heading into Week 17.
Let's dive into these injuries and see how they affect their playing chances.

Is Jalen Hurts Hurt?
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (concussion) left in the first quarter of the Eagle's Week 16 matchup versus the Washington Commanders. Hurts tried to re-enter the game after suffering a head injury in the first quarter, but medical officials prevented him from returning, and he was then ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Kenny Pickett played admirably in Hurts’ place, throwing for 143 yards, one touchdown, and one interception and going 14-for-24 passing. Hurts must clear the NFL’s concussion protocol to be active next week against the Cowboys.

Every player responds differently to concussion protocols. Some return the next week, and some take up to multiple weeks to return. Whether or not he can practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday will go a long way toward determining his availability on Sunday versus the Dallas Cowboys.
If Hurts can't go on Sunday, the Eagles pass-catchers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, will take a slight hit in their production. Saquon Barkley will likely be leaned on more in the run and short-passing games.
Is Kenneth Walker III Hurt?
Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III suffered an ankle injury during yesterday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He was ultimately unable to return to the game. Walker missed the previous two games due to a calf injury, but reportedly, he is getting an MRI on Monday, which usually indicates that the injury is more severe than mild.
Although we don't know the full severity of this injury, it would be wise for fantasy managers to try to devise a backup plan. The Seahawks play on Thursday Night Football this week, giving Walker only a few days to recover. A limited practice on Tuesday or Wednesday would go a long way in Walker suiting up.

Zach Charbonnet filled in nicely for Walker the previous two weeks and would take over RB1 duties if Walker does miss time. Charbonnet fantasy owners can insert him into their lineups in Week 17 without hesitation if Walker can't play.
Is Drake London Hurt?
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London left Sunday’s victory over the New York Giants with a hamstring injury.
Luckily, this injury doesn’t sound too severe. Head coach Raheem Morris even said after the game that London probably could have returned if the match had been closer. All indications are that London will be good for Week 17 versus the Washington Commanders.
The Atlanta Falcons had a huge day yesterday, winning against the New York Giants. More importantly, the Dallas Cowboys beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last night on Sunday Night Football. The Falcons now control their destiny and can clinch the NFC South if they win their last two games.

Due to the importance of this upcoming game, fantasy managers should expect London to suit up even if he is not 100%. Monitor his practice throughout the week, especially on Thursday and Friday.
