Marquez Valdes-Scantling Fantasy Football Injury Update
UPDATE: Valdes-Scantling (chest/illness) is officially OUT
Seeing that Valdes-Scantling has been unable to practice all week does not put him in a good position to suit up on Monday evening. However, seeing that the team is at least leaving the door open is a positive sign. The coaching staff also noted that the team is hopeful he can turn the corner in time for kickoff.
Saints-Packers injury status report:
Carr, Kamara, Olave, Means officially ruled out.
No injury status for Chase Young after he returned from illness.

Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on his status ahead of kickoff as the veteran wideout could be a game-time decision.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling Fantasy Football Injury Impact
With Chris Olave (concussion), Rashid Shaheed (knee), Taysom Hill (knee), and Alvin Kamara (groin) already ruled out for Monday's game, Valdes-Scantling could be deployed as the feature pass catcher if he can turn the corner in time for kickoff.
Over the past five weeks, the 30-year-old has averaged a solid 69.4 yards per game while tallying 2.6 receptions per contest. During this span he has caught three touchdowns and tallied at least one 20+ yard reception in each contest.

If Valdes-Scantling does not suit up, fantasy managers should expect Kevin Austin Jr., Dante Pettis and Cedrick Wilson Jr. to sit at the top of depth chart. Tight ends Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau would also have a significant role in the passing attack.
Moreau carries sightlier more upside in DFS this evening as he posted an impressive 12.3 yards per catch over the past five games.
