24 seconds agoWashington Capitals right wing Aliaksei Protas scored twice to lead Washington to a victory on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Kings. Protas opened the scoring in the first period on a snap shot which beat Los Angeles netminder David Rittich. His linemates, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Conner McMichael tallied the assists. Protas would then put the game out of reach by scoring the empty-netter. This goal was unassisted. This performance snapped a three-game scoreless drought for the 23-year-old. Through 23 total games this season, Protas has tallied 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) with 63 shots on goal, nine hits, and 13 total blocked shots.
