Aliaksei Protas Scores Twice On Sunday
24 seconds agoWashington Capitals right wing Aliaksei Protas scored twice to lead Washington to a victory on Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Kings. Protas opened the scoring in the first period on a snap shot which beat Los Angeles netminder David Rittich. His linemates, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Conner McMichael tallied the assists. Protas would then put the game out of reach by scoring the empty-netter. This goal was unassisted. This performance snapped a three-game scoreless drought for the 23-year-old. Through 23 total games this season, Protas has tallied 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) with 63 shots on goal, nine hits, and 13 total blocked shots. He should be expected to remain on the second line and is a viable play DFS in favorable matchups.
