Week 16 Tight End Outlooks For Fantasy Football
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns - Fantasy Football Outlook
According to Kelsey Russo of the Browns, tight end David Njoku (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Cincinnati Bengals. Njoku opened the week as a non-participant on Wednesday and Thursday but was spotted earlier at Friday's practice. Fantasy managers should continue to pay close attention to his status over the weekend. Njoku was sidelined last weekend due to this same injury.
Over his previous four games, the tight end has averaged an impressive 15.6 PPR points per game with 6.5 receptions and 46.0 yards per game. During this span he found the end zone three times. Even though Dorian Thompson-Robinson will be taking over starting duties, Njoku should still be viewed as a low-end TE1 facing the Bengals who have allowed the most PPR points to opposing tight ends this season.
- Andy Smith, RotoBaller
Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth has scored in three straight games and will look to take advantage of a juicy matchup against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens in Week 16. The Ravens surrender the most passing yards in the league and the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Freiermuth has seen an uptick in his opportunities lately, with George Pickens (hamstring) sidelined. He should continue getting plenty of looks from quarterback Russell Wilson on Saturday, as Pickens will again be inactive. Fantasy managers streaming the position or searching for a consistent option can start Freiermuth as a low-end TE1 with upside this week.
- Jorden Hill, RotoBaller
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens - Fantasy Football Outlook
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is the TE6 overall and TE8 in terms of fantasy points per game this season. He's tied for the most amount of touchdowns for the position with George Kittle, and there's a chance that the receiving corps is thin, with Rashod Bateman (foot) and Nelson Agholor (concussion) both questionable. That could lead to some more targets for Andrews who only saw three against the Steelers in Week 11. He has scored in each of the three games since then, and should be considered a TE1 with his role in the offense, especially if any of the wideouts have to miss this game.
- Alex Fischbein, RotoBaller
