Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (foot) has been through a lot these past two seasons. After suffering a devastating injury that we won't replay early in 2023, he returned to a faltering Browns team that was losing far more games than it was winning. His play didn't come close to what it was in 2022 and before, either.
To make matters worse, he suffered a foot injury in Week 15, putting the rest of his season in doubt. He had to be pulled from the contest and wasn't able to return. The team is now 3-11, and it's worth questioning if they'll shut down Chubb regardless of his injury status.
So will he miss the rest of this season?

Is Nick Chubb Out For The Season?
Yes. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Chubb broke his foot in Week 15. His season will now come to an end, as there's no way he can recover from that problem in time for Week 18. And with the team sitting at just 3-11 and eliminated from playoff contention, they won't be able to play any games after the regular season ends.

It's strange that this could have occurred simply by him pushing off with his left foot, but it's also possible that he injured it on a previous play and attempted to play through the pain. He could have also re-aggravated the injury or caused more damage if it was in an extremely fragile state.
He spent a long time out of football, missing all but the first two games of 2023 and not returning until after six weeks had passed in 2024. And the injury seemed to still be affecting him -- he averaged just 3.25 yards per carry this season, didn't make a big difference as a pass-catcher, and didn't possess the explosiveness that made him such a great back in years past.
He'll be fully healthy and ready to go in 2025, but he may never return to be the player he once was.
