Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift has been a frustrating player from a fantasy football perspective in 2024. Swift has been a Top-12 RB for fantasy in five different weeks this season but also has finishes of RB41, RB37, RB45, RB31, RB28, and RB36 in half-PPR formats. Talk about some violent swings!
After a hot stretch from Weeks 4-8, Swift has cooled off for fantasy. He's finished outside the Top 20 RBs over his last three games, and the Bears' inconsistencies on offense haven't helped things. The team has a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15 as well, and to make matters worse, Swift has popped up on the team's injury report.
So, should you bench Swift here in Week 15? Let's dig in more below!

Should I Bench D'Andre Swift in Fantasy Football?
Swift has popped up on the team's injury report (groin) for Week 15 and it's not a good sign when a player usually isn't able to practice on Thursday and Friday before the game.
D'Andre Swift (groin), Roschon Johnson (concussion) don't practice again Friday.

The Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron earlier this season. After a Thanksgiving Day debacle that saw the team run out the clock in field goal range with a timeout remaining, former head coach Matt Eberflus was also fired.
Former passing game coordinator Thomas Brown is now the team's offensive coordinator, play caller, and interim head coach. Talk about putting a lot on a guy's plate in his first stint!
The Bears are currently on a seven-game losing streak that saw their season completely fall apart after a botched Hail Mary against the Washington Commanders in Week 15.
Who Should I Pickup in Week 15 Fantasy Football?
Third-string running back Travis Homer should be scooped up in all formats, given that Swift is currently on the injury report, as well as backup Roschon Johnson (where available).

Swift is not a candidate to be dropped in fantasy at this time, but it's more than understandable to have serious cautions about playing him in your fantasy lineups here in Week 15. During the year, Swift had 193 rush attempts for 742 yards (3.8 avg), along with 34 receptions for 315 yards. He's been adequate at times, but the consistency hasn't been there.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has had an up-and-down season but has shown some flashes. The Bears offense has generally been a big letdown for fantasy in 2024, but the outlook for 2025 looks solid if they can hire the right coach.
Given Swift's current injury status and a very difficult matchup against the Minnesota Vikings and defensive coordinator Brian Flores, my strong recommendation is to sit Swift this week and opt for a higher-floor play instead.
