Will Isaac Guerendo Play Tonight? Fantasy Football Injury Update For Thursday Night Football

Isaac Guerendo - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers - icon large rotoballer

Is Isaac Guerendo playing on "Thursday Night Football" or is he out? Is Isaac Guerendo injured or healthy for Week 15 TNF? Mike Fanelli analyzes the latest injury news.

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with multiple injuries this season, especially in their backfield.

Elijah Mitchell hasn’t played this year because of a hamstring injury. Christian McCaffrey only played in four contests because of Achilles tendinitis and a PCL sprain. Meanwhile, Jordan Mason is out with a high ankle sprain.

Unfortunately, that has made fourth-stringer Isaac Guerendo the 49ers’ starting running back. However, he is also dealing with an injury, putting his status for the Week 15 contest in doubt.

Will Isaac Guerendo Play Tonight?

Last week, the rookie running back made his first career start in the NFL against the Chicago Bears. He was having an excellent performance before leaving the game with a foot sprain. Many feared Guerendo wouldn’t play tonight against the Los Angeles Rams because of the injury.

However, the rookie plans to play in the critical Week 15 matchup against the division rivals. Guerendo didn’t practice on Monday or Tuesday. Thankfully, he managed to be a limited participant on Wednesday.

Should I Start Isaac Guerendo In Week 15?

Some fantasy players might be afraid to start the former Louisville star in the first round of the playoffs, especially playing through an injury on a short week. However, Guerendo is a high-end RB2 this week against the Rams after her performance in Week 14.

Last week, the rookie running back had 15 rushing attempts for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Bears. Furthermore, he had two receptions for 50 receiving yards, ending the contest with 25.8 half-point PPR fantasy points. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has struggled to slow down opposing running backs.

The Rams have surrendered 21.2 fantasy points per game to running backs, slightly above the league average. However, they have given up 160.7 rushing yards per game to running backs in their previous three contests before last week’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
