NFL Pick'em Pool Picks (Week 15) - Targets, Avoids, Predictions for Pick'em Contests (2024)

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

All 32 teams will be in action during Week 15. There is a bevy of exciting matchups, including when the Eagles host the Steelers. The Bills will also take on the Lions.

Each week of the NFL season, I’ll share my picks for each game and rank their selections for those who play in a format that requires it. The games will be grouped into locks, semi-confident picks, and toss-ups. The number listed next to the game shows my confidence level, counting down to my least confident pick. The winner picks are italicized.

Some weeks, you may see a subcategory of “Wait and See” because some platforms require all games to be selected before the kickoff of Thursday Night Football. There may still be some injury questions for Sunday and Monday games. If that’s the case, I’ll leave those games off to the side and suggest where they should be placed if a player is in or out. Let’s get to our Week 15 picks.

Week 15 NFL Pick'em Pool Locks

The number listed next to the game shows my confidence level, counting down to my least-confident pick. The higher the number, the better. The winner picks are italicized.

  • 16 – Baltimore at New York Giants
  • 15 – Washington at New Orleans
  • 14 – Cincinnati at Tennessee

Another week, another different quarterback under center for the Giants. Drew Lock (heel) is expected to be sidelined, paving the way for Tommy DeVito to get another start. The Giants are 2-11 and might not win another game this season. The Ravens are fresh coming off their bye week and should demolish the Giants.

The Commanders also have the benefit of being well-rested coming out of their bye week. While they are a modest 3-3 on the road, they should be able to easily dispatch the Saints. Derek Carr (hand) has been labeled as week-to-week, setting up either Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler to start at quarterback.

The Titans are 3-10 after a loss to the Jaguars last week. They scored just six points against one of the worst defenses in the league. The Bengals have their defensive shortcomings, but they are averaging 27.8 points per game. The Titans won’t be able to keep pace with the Bengals offense in what could turn into a laugher.

Semi-Confident Picks For Week 15 Pick'em Pools

13 – Kansas City at Cleveland

This should be a lock for a Chiefs team that is 12-1. The Browns are just 3-10 and Jameis Winston continues to throw one bad interception after another. I still believe the Chiefs will win this game, but they have been barely pulling out some of their wins lately. If Winston gets hot at home and can limit his turnovers, the Browns could keep this uncomfortably close.

12 – Denver vs. Indianapolis

The Broncos have won three games in a row and are 4-2 at home this season. Their losses at home came against the Steelers and Chargers, who are a combined 18-8. The Colts have three road wins this season, but they came against some of the worst teams in the league in the Titans, Jets, and Patriots. Don’t expect them to knock off the Broncos.

11 – Arizona vs. New England

The Cardinals are streaky. After winning four games in a row, they have now lost three straight. However, the Patriots are just consistently bad, having lost three straight on their way to a 3-10 record. This game being played in Arizona is also important. The Cardinals are just 2-4 on the road, but they are 4-3 at home.

10 – Minnesota vs. Chicago

Just looking at the records, this game shouldn’t be close. The Vikings are 11-2 this season, including 6-1 at home. The Bears have lost seven games in a row and are 0-6 on the road. The Vikings should win this game, but I decided not to put it in the lock category because wild things can happen when divisional foes face each other this late in the season.

9 – Atlanta at Las Vegas

The Falcons have been passed atop the standings in the NFC South. They have lost four straight games, while the Buccaneers have won three in a row. This might be just the matchup that they need to get back on track. The Raiders have lost nine games in a row and might have to start Desmond Ridder at quarterback. Even if Aidan O'Connell (knee) can play, it’s not as if the Raiders have been winning with him under center, anyway.

8 – New York Jets at Jacksonville

The Jets began the season with a 2-1 record. They are 1-9 since then. Both the Jets and the Jaguars have 3-10 records. However, the Jets have a -49 point differential, while the Jaguars have a -107 point differential. The Jets also have a significant advantage at quarterback with Mac Jones starting for the Jaguars. Even on the road, the Jets should be the favorites in this matchup.

NFL Pick'em Toss-Ups Of Week 15

7 – Los Angeles Chargers vs. Tampa Bay

The Chargers are the better team and will be at home. However, the Buccaneers are 4-2 on the road. That included a win against the Lions in Detroit earlier this season. The Buccaneers have also recorded wins over the Commanders and Eagles this season. Baker Mayfield can keep them in any game. Still, I’ll lean toward the Chargers.

6 – Houston vs. Miami

The Dolphins needed overtime to knock off the Jets last week. Meanwhile, the Texans were resting up during their bye week. The Dolphins have played much better lately, winning four of their last five games. I’ll still give the edge to the Texans. The Dolphins only have one win against a team with a winning record, which came over the 7-6 Rams.

5 – Green Bay at Seattle

The Packers had their three-game winning streak snapped by the Lions last week. The Seahawks extended their winning streak to four games by knocking off the Cardinals. As good as the Seahawks have been, the Packers have only lost four games this season. Two of those losses came against the Lions, while the other two came against the Eagles and Vikings, who have combined for just four losses all season. The Packers are the better team here.

4 – Carolina vs. Dallas

The Panthers are playing much better than they were earlier in the season. They are 2-3 over their last five games. Their losses were by three points to the Chiefs, three points to the Buccaneers, and six points to the Eagles. As bad as the Cowboys have been, they are 4-2 on the road. This game really could go either way, so when in doubt, take the home team.

3 – Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh

The Eagles enter this matchup with a nine-game winning streak. The Steelers have won seven of their last eight games with their lone loss during that span coming in snowy conditions against the Browns. This has the makings of a close game between two good defensive teams that could come down to the final minutes. Again, when in doubt, take the home team.

2 – Detroit vs. Buffalo

Are the Bills going to lose two games in a row? Well, they did earlier this season when they dropped consecutive games to the Ravens and Texans. The key was that both of those games were on the road. All three of the Bills’ losses this season have come away from Buffalo. The Lions are the choice here at home, but it never feels good picking against Josh Allen.

1 – Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco

This could have been a letdown spot for the Rams after a big win over the Bills last week. However, playing against their old NFC West foes in the 49ers should help to alleviate that. With all of the injuries that the 49ers have suffered, the Rams are the more potent offensive team right now. Still, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the 49ers win at home.
