Fantasy Football Injury Reports For Week 14 (Thursday Updates): Bucky Irving, Mike Evans, Breece Hall, Ladd McConkey, Christian McCaffrey, Tyreek Hill, Trevor Lawrence, DJ Moore, Kenneth Walker more

Bucky Irving - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE, QB for Week 14 (2024), as of 12/5. Read the latest updates for Week 14 of the 2024 season.

We have just one more week until most fantasy leagues start their playoffs, meaning it's more important than ever to stay updated on injuries to key players on your rosters. Being aware of the ailments important components of your teams are dealing with can help you make good decisions in advance.

It's not just about benching players who end up being inactive for games but about bolstering your bench with depth when you have multiple injuries at a position, adding a handcuff just in case, and more.

Let's break down the most important injuries heading into the last (for many) game of the fantasy football regular season in Week 14.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Bucky Irving Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving (hip) was able to fight through a hip injury and put together his biggest game of the season in Week 13. He totaled a ridiculous 185 yards and one touchdown in a dominating effort against the Carolina Panthers. After the game, he was seen limping into the locker room.

Irving's injury is nothing to be overly concerned with right now. He stated in the above interview that he felt good, and his injury was never reported as being serious. Expect him to play in Week 14. The Bucs are a team fighting for their playoff lives, so expect them to use their best players as much as they need in a must-win game.

Mike Evans Injury Update

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (calf, hamstring) is dealing with two injuries, one to his hamstring and one to his calf, and did not participate in his team's practice on Wednesday. That might become a trend moving forward. He's 31 years old, and the team cannot afford to lose more of his playing time to injury this season.

Evans may be managing a compromised hamstring all season. Typically, injuries to certain muscles in the leg lead to others overcompensating for any weakness, so it's possible this could have resulted in a calf strain or some soreness. Still, nothing has come out indicating he's in danger of missing Sunday's contest.

Breece Hall Injury Update

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) entered last week's game with a knee injury. He missed some practice time, but eventually was cleared to play and declared "active" for the game. However, he was still dealing with the issue, and was shown limping on the sidelines mid-game.

He was held out of practice again on Wednesday. As of now, his status is unknown. One problem complicating things here is that the team may consider their poor record as a factor in whether or not to hold him out of the contest. They're just 3-9 and have virtually no chance of making the playoffs.

They may not see risking further injury to their star running back for a potentially worse draft position as their best strategy moving forward. At a minimum, we could see him held out until he's 100% healthy, and he may not be by game time.

Ladd McConkey Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (knee, shoulder) is dealing with shoulder and knee issues currently. The shoulder problem is likely the AC joint sprain he picked up in a previous game, and he also hurt his knee in Week 13. While he was able to finish that contest, the injuries have been piling up for the rookie.

While neither of these are considered serious issues, the team isn't sure if he'll be able to play. This will be something worth monitoring. The Chargers sit at 8-4 and are very likely to make it into the playoffs. They have very little WR depth. They'll need McConkey to make it anywhere in the postseason.

We wouldn't be surprised if he has to sit this one out but be sure to stay updated.

Christian McCaffrey Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) injured his PCL in Week 13. That ailment will bring his season to an end. 2023's best fantasy football player will end his 2024 campaign without a single touchdown and just 202 rushing yards and 146 receiving yards.

The injury will take around six weeks to recover from, and there are only five left in the regular season. San Fran is highly unlikely to make the playoffs. He should be ready for the 2025 season, but it's worth being concerned about moving forward. RB is a brutal position on the human body.

Tyreek Hill Injury Update

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (rest, wrist) is still dealing with a wrist injury that will bother him for the rest of the season, and potentially until he gets surgery. He rested on Wednesday and didn't participate in practice, but it's unlikely this has any effect on his availability come game time.

Move along, folks, nothing to see here. Other than a guy that's massively underperforming and is one of the biggest busts of 2024 fantasy drafts. At least Hill's out there on the field!

Trevor Lawrence Injury Update

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (concussion, shoulder) was knocked out cold by Houston Texans defender and known dirty player Azeez Al-Shaair. The linebacker launched himself into Lawrence's helmet and slammed it into the turf, causing a concussion.

This caused a three-game suspension to be levied against Mr. Big Causer-Of-Injuries. Meanwhile, Lawrence entered the concussion protocol, but he is opting to have surgery to fix the injury to his left shoulder that he picked up earlier in the season. That probably should've been done sooner.

It was odd that he played in Week 13 at all, but his team is now 2-10, so it makes sense to shut him down. The surgical procedure will end his season for the ignominious 2024 Jaguars. Hopefully, they can get it together and clean house. Head coach Doug Pederson doesn't deserve to keep his job and neither does offensive coordinator Press Taylor.

DJ Moore Injury Update

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore (quadriceps) wasn't able to participate in his team's practice activities on Wednesday. He's dealing with a quadriceps injury. We don't know the extent of it, or whether it's anything serious.

This theory makes a lot of sense. WR Keenan Allen (ankle), running back D'Andre Swift (quadriceps), and many other key players weren't required to practice or were limited due to injuries. The Bears have a new head coach, and he may want his studs to get a little more rest between games.

There's not much to worry about in Mooreland for now.

Dallas Goedert Injury Update

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) was held out of his team's practice on Wednesday after suffering a knee injury. He picked up this ailment while attempting to block a Baltimore Ravens defender in Week 13. He is not expected to play in Week 14 at all.

Backup tight end Grant Calcaterra will step into his place and handle the majority if not all of the TE workload. It's not known yet whether Goedert will miss more than one game. He's reportedly a candidate for injured reserve, but nothing's been confirmed yet.

Kenneth Walker Injury Update

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (ankle/calf) is dealing with ankle and calf injuries. He logged a limited practice on Wednesday, though, so it seems like he's likely to play. At this point in the season, the majority of players are dealing with at least minor injuries or pain. Those who see heavy usage in games sometimes get days off or light training days.

We'll have to wait and see how this one plays out. There isn't reportedly anything serious going on, though. He should probably play on Sunday.
