4 months agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki recorded a goal and an assist as the team got back to winning ways on Tuesday with a 2-1 overtime victory against the Islanders. The Canadiens captain collected his helper when Patrik Laine marked his team debut with a power-play goal, and Suzuki took care of the second goal himself when he lit the lamp with half of the overtime session played. Montreal struggles to win consistently, but Suzuki is in the middle of a big campaign. He's currently riding his second three-game multi-point streak of the season and averages over a point per game, with 10 goals and 16 assists generated in 25 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki tallied four points during their overtime victory over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday evening. In the opening frame, Suzuki tallied three points on the power-play. He tallied the primary assists on Cole Caufield's and Juraj Slafkovsky's goals. He also found the back of the net on a snap shot. He would tally his fourth point of the evening in overtime on the secondary assist on Mike Matheson's game-winner. This outing extended Suzuki's point streak to five games. During this impressive stretch, the 25-year-old has posted four multi-point games. He has found the back of the net four times and added nine helpers, with six of his points coming on the power-play. Before this impressive surge, Suzuki only tallied two points over his last seven. Given his recent play, he remains a top option in DFS on Thursday when he faces the Edmonton Oilers.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

1 month agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki tallied three points for the second-straight contest on Thursday evening during their overtime victory over the San Jose Sharks. Suzuki found the back of the net twice in the opening frame, both during 5-on-5 play. Then in overtime, Suzuki would tally the primary assist on Cole Caufield's game-winner. Suzuki has now tallied at least two points in each of his last three games and three points in each of his last two. During this impressive three-game stretch, the 25-year-old has found the back of the net three times and added five helpers. Before this slump, Suzuki tallied just one helper over his last six contests. Fantasy managers should continue to view Suzuki as a must-start option in all formats playing top minutes in the Montreal offense. He will look to stay hot on Saturday evening against the Buffalo Sabres.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

3 months agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki tallied three points in their overtime victory on Monday evening against the Vancouver Canucks. Suzuki tallied the secondary assist on Cole Caufield's opening goal. In the third, Suzuki tallied another primary assist, time on the power-play on Kirby Dach's strike. Then, in overtime, the captain led the way as he beat Vancouver netminder Kevin Lankinen on a wrist shot. This performance extended Suzuki's point streak to four games. Over his past 19 contests, the 25-year-old tallied 22 points (five goals, 17 helpers), with eight of those points coming on the power-play. Suzuki remains a must-start player in all formats and is worth playing in favorable matchups in DFS.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

5 months agoMontreal Canadiens center Nick Suzuki amassed four points in Monday's high-scoring 7-5 victory over Buffalo. The Canadiens captain kicked things off with a power-play assist in the second period, added two even-strength goals to his name before the second intermission, and wrapped things up with another assist on Christian Dvorak's empty-net goal late in the game. The big performance ended a four-game scoring drought for Suzuki. He's had a difficult time this month, but Suzuki's overall form has been solid in 2024-25. He's on 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) through 16 outings, having posted six multi-point games. Montreal will need another top-class performance from its leading scorer in Thursday's tough matchup against Minnesota.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
