10 Worst QB Performances From Week 14, Including Mac Jones and Kirk Cousins

Caleb Williams - Fantasy Football Rankings, QB, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Quincy Milton ranks the 10 worst quarterback performances for Week 14 of the 2024 season. Mac Jones, Kirk Cousins, and others make the list of 10 underperformers.

Week 14 in the NFL was a bit slow with six teams on a bye. Big names such as Lamar Jackson were not on the field this week and points did not flow for many teams.

Generally with that many teams off, it isn't easy to find enough names for a list like this. However, this week left many repeat offenders deserving of this list. Notably, Kirk Cousins and Mac Jones continue to look like they do not belong in their respective starting jobs.

With the NFL regular season just about over, several of the players on this list will need to pick up their play to look forward to 2025 with a starting job. Let's dive in and see who performed the worst in Week 14.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

10. Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Carr did not have his best day at the office, but he did enough for the Saints to win. He could only lead the Saints to 14 points scored against an uninspired New York Giants defense.

Carr threw for 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He added an interception as well. With six teams on a bye, that kind of performance is enough to land you on this list.

9. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mayfield needs to figure out his interception issue. He threw another two interceptions in Week 14. The picks allowed the Raiders to hang around until the Buccaneers were able to pull away in the fourth quarter.

As usual, the league only cares about wins and the Buccaneers suddenly find themselves leading the NFC South. If Mayfield can cut down on the turnovers, the Buccaneers might be able to make a legitimate playoff run.

8. Will Levis, Tennessee Titans

After building momentum in recent weeks, Levis had trouble in Week 14. He only threw for 168 yards and the Titans were only able to put up six points against a very vulnerable Jaguars defense.

If Levis wants to keep his job going into 2025, he is going to need to start playing much better. Right now, things look bleak for the second-year player. He just has not been able to fully break through.

7. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

Murray continued to stumble in Week 14. In a rematch with the Seattle Seahawks, Murray threw two inexplicable interceptions in the first half. The turnovers are killing the Cardinals.

Murray made a solid attempt at a comeback as the game wore on. Ultimately, he ran out of time after setting himself and the team back early. Murray has the talent to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, but he still struggles with incredible inconsistency.

6. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

Williams was back to being quiet once again in Week 14. The Bears simply had no answer for a much more energized 49ers defense. The running game is nonexistent and Williams does not yet have the experience to transcend a team devoid of support the way the Bears are.

Williams had been excellent in recent weeks. However, a lot of that production has come in the second half of games. He has had trouble putting together a fully complete game during his short career.

5. Jameis Winston, Cleveland Browns

Winston simply did not play well in Week 14 against the Steelers. He had an important turnover in the first half that set the rest of the game in motion for the Steelers to dominate. The Steelers forced several incompletions by repeatedly pressuring Winston and ultimately came away with two interceptions.

The Winston experience was in fine form. We all know what we are going to get with him. He may throw for five touchdowns and five interceptions in the same game. Still, he has ignited the Browns offense in a way that it simply was not before he took over.

4.  Aidan O'Connell, Las Vegas Raiders

O'Connell did not give us an encore to his excellent Week 13 performance. Unfortunately for Raiders fans, it was quite the opposite. O'Connell only recorded 104 passing yards and an interception in Week 14. However, he did manage to score a rushing touchdown.

O'Connell ended up leaving the game early due to a knee injury. The second-year quarterback has dealt with a lot of adversity between this new injury and a thumb injury suffered earlier in the season.

3. Drew Lock, New York Giants

New York does not seem to be the best fit for Lock. After being the darling of a Monday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 while he was with Seattle, Lock has not found the same magic in New York.

Lock's completion percentage was poor but a last-ditch effort in the fourth quarter pushed his yardage total over 200. Those are the types of numbers that will put you on this list. The Giants have no direction or frankly much purpose left this season. Unfortunately, Lock is suffering as a result.

2. Mac Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jones may end up on this list every week from now on. Watching him play is a privilege to no one. He continues to seemingly try to throw the game away for the Jaguars each week.

It is hard to believe that the Jaguars won this game with only 220 passing yards and two interceptions from Jones. The Titans' ineptitudes on offense were the only saving grace for this team.

1. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

Cousins was not the only reason the Falcons lost on Sunday, but he certainly did not help the cause. Penalties were a huge issue all day, but Cousins threw a couple of completely avoidable interceptions. One of his interceptions was an overthrow in the fourth quarter while the Falcons were mounting a comeback.

The Falcons have indicated that they will not consider a quarterback change, but if things continue at this pace, they very well may have to. Cousins has not played like a quarterback deserving of a $100 million contract of late.
