Michael Pittman Jr. With A Five-Catch Day In Victory
13 seconds agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. led the team in targets, catches, and receiving yards on Sunday, but with quarterback Anthony Richardson completing just 12 passes, it didn't amount to much. The 27-year-old caught five of seven targets for 42 scoreless yards, although the Colts were able to pull off a 25-24 victory anyway thanks to the legs of Jonathan Taylor and the aforementioned Richardson. Since Richardson was reinserted as the starting quarterback, Pittman Jr. has seemingly taken over as the preferred option in the passing game, although he had less competition on Sunday with Josh Downs out with an injury. The former second-round draft pick has at least seven targets and five catches in the last three games, however, it will be hard to exceed that output when the Colts come out of their by in Week 15 as they will face a stout Denver pass defense on the road.
