Biggest Fantasy Football Busts Of The Week - Fantasy Outlooks For Justin Herbert, Kenneth Walker III, Cooper Kupp, George Kittle, more

Cooper Kupp - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

The 13th Sunday of the 2024 NFL season has come and gone. Hopefully, you woke up on Monday morning feeling very good about how your matchup went. However, this week's slate of games was certainly stress-inducing for many fantasy football managers.

Part of that stress was caused by a group of players who drastically underachieved in Week 13. These players simply did not meet fantasy expectations this week, and it cost their managers in a big way.

Let's take a look at the biggest busts from Week 13, as well as whether or not we can still have some trust in these players moving forward. All point totals are based on the PPR scoring system. Players who missed part of the game due to injury are exempt from being featured. Because of this, New York Jets running back Breece Hall, who played a season-low 61.7 percent of snaps while managing a knee injury, is not featured here.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

Fantasy Football Quarterback Busts

Justin Herbert, 9.5 FPTS

Justin Herbert didn't have the worst game, but fantasy managers were certainly expecting more after he ranked as the overall QB6 from Week 8 through Week 12. This past Sunday, Herbert led the Chargers to a victory with just 16 completions, 147 passing yards, zero touchdowns, and zero turnovers. He remains a viable low-end QB1 heading into Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Kirk Cousins, 4.6 FPTS

Kirk Cousins had a very rough outing Sunday, throwing four interceptions while failing to tally a touchdown against the Chargers. While his fourth and final pick came on a desperation fourth-down attempt, the first three were quite legitimate and showed that Cousins isn't the same quarterback we saw in Minnesota. Fantasy managers should treat him as a fringe top-24 option heading into next week's game against his old team.

Brock Purdy, 3.1 FPTS

Brock Purdy had no answers for the poor conditions caused by lake-effect snow in Orchard Park on Sunday night. He completed just 11 passes for 94 yards, failed to register a touchdown, and lost a fumble. He ranks outside the top-18 fantasy quarterbacks heading into Week 14 against the Bears.

Fantasy Football Running Back Busts

Gus Edwards, 4.3 FPTS

Gus Edwards touched the ball just seven times while starting in place of J.K. Dobbins (knee). He was quite efficient, averaging 5.3 yards per carry, but didn't have the volume needed to survive as a reliable fantasy option. With that said, the Chargers' 24:05 time of possession was uncharacteristically low. Edwards should bounce back as a fantasy RB3 in Week 14 if Los Angeles possesses the ball for a longer period of time.

Kenneth Walker III, 6.6 FPTS

Kenneth Walker III rushed 16 times for just 49 yards, and he also lost three yards in the receiving game. He was far less efficient than backup Zach Charbonnet in the Seahawks' win. The 24-year-old Walker will look to bounce back as a mid-range fantasy RB2 against Arizona next week.

Chuba Hubbard, 2.3 FPTS

Chuba Hubbard had his quietest outing since Week 1, rushing 12 times for just 43 yards. He also failed to register a target and lost a crucial fumble in overtime. The 25-year-old saw his role start to decline with the emergence of Jonathon Brooks. Hubbard will drop to the RB3/FLEX tier for Week 14 against the Eagles.

Fantasy Football Wide Receiver Busts

Calvin Ridley, 6.5 FPTS

Calvin Ridley came back down to earth Sunday, catching just two of seven targets for 45 yards in the Titans' loss. This was his worst fantasy performance since Week 6 when he was held without a reception. He should bounce back as a solid WR2 against the Jaguars' weak secondary next week.

Deebo Samuel Sr., 4.0 FPTS

Deebo Samuel was held to just four catches, 20 yards, and a lost fumble on Sunday. He did deliver 208 return yards, but that doesn't help managers in typical PPR leagues. The 49ers' primary wide receiver could bounce back in a less snowy environment against the Bears next week, but he still ranks as a WR3/FLEX for the time being.

Rome Odunze, 4.5 FPTS

Rome Odunze was targeted six times Sunday, but he connected with Caleb Williams for just two receptions and 25 yards. The rookie plays in a crowded, underperforming offense, keeping him outside the top-36 fantasy receivers for Week 14 against San Francisco.

Wan'Dale Robinson, 2.6 FPTS

Wan'Dale Robinson was held in check by the Cowboys as he caught just two passes for six yards. It's possible that his productivity suffered as a result of Drew Lock quarterbacking the Giants in place of Tommy Devito (forearm). If DeVito returns in Week 14, Robinson will jump back up to the low-end WR3/FLEX tier.

Darnell Mooney, 5.0 FPTS

Darnell Mooney now has just five catches for 57 yards over his last two games, which is a major step back from when he ranked as the overall WR8 from Week 2 through Week 10. Moving forward, he's a fringe top-36 option, including next week against the Vikings.

Cooper Kupp, 4.7 FPTS

Cooper Kupp had an uncharacteristically poor outing, catching just three of six targets for 17 yards. He should have no trouble bouncing back as a low-end WR1 in Week 14 against the Bills.

Tank Dell, 3.3 FPTS

Tank Dell caught just one pass for 23 yards, turning in his worst fantasy performance since Week 7. He has been the overall WR49 in fantasy football since Stefon Diggs (knee) was ruled out for the season. Even in his No. 2 receiver role, Dell belongs on fantasy managers' benches.

Fantasy Football Tight End Busts

Cade Otton, 6.0 FPTS

Cade Otton was held to single-digit fantasy points for the third week in a row, and he has totaled just five catches in two games since Mike Evans returned from injury. The Buccaneers' primary tight end can be benched in most fantasy leagues ahead of Week 14 against the Raiders.

George Kittle, 1.7 FPTS

George Kittle caught a pass on the 49ers' first play from scrimmage Sunday night but then didn't log another catch after that. He was heavily impacted by the messy conditions caused by lake-effect snow in Orchard Park. He should bounce back as a high-end TE1 next week against Chicago.

Will Dissly, 0.0 FPTS

Will Dissly had been the overall TE12 in fantasy football from Week 7 through Week 12, but he plummeted down to earth with zero catches on one target on Sunday. He'll rank outside the top-15 options for Week 14 against the Chiefs.

Kyle Pitts, 0.0 FPTS

Kyle Pitts was held without a catch on Sunday as the Falcons fell to the Chargers. He continues to rank as a low-end fantasy TE1 going forward. Managers can certainly justify benching him in Week 14 against the Vikings.

T.J. Hockenson, 5.8 FPTS

Three catches and 28 yards was the final output from T.J. Hockenson, who now has fewer than 6.0 fantasy points in three of his five games this year. He's a high-end fantasy TE2 heading into Week 14 against the Falcons.
