Utah Hockey Club right wing Nick Schmaltz found the back of the net twice during Saturday's victory over the Utah Hockey Club. Schmaltz's first tally was in the opening frame off a wrist shot. Later in the second, the 28-year-old tallied a power-play goal to extend their lead. In addition, he also logged five shots on goal. These were Schmaltz's first two tallies of the campaign. Entering this game, he had registered just 17 helpers across 23 contests. Despite him just ending his scoring drought on Saturday, fantasy managers should continue to view him as a steady fantasy producer, given his role in the Utah top-6 and No.1 power-play unit. Schmaltz will look to stay hot on Monday when he faces the Dallas Stars.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Utah Hockey Club forward Nick Schmaltz grabbed two assists as the team beat Montreal 3-2 in overtime Tuesday night. Dylan Guenther and Mikhail Sergachev benefited from Schmaltz's playmaking, with the latter scoring the game-winning goal inside the final minute of the extra frame. Schmaltz reached 17 assists for the campaign, but amazingly, he hasn't yet scored a single goal on 44 shots in 22 games. Only six players in the league have managed more than Schmaltz's 13 even-strength assists this season. The 28-year-old has recorded three consecutive 20-goal campaigns, with a 13.5 career shooting percentage, so Schmaltz's luck in front of the net should turn eventually.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Schmaltz had a season-high three assists as the team cruised to a 4-1 victory over New Jersey on Saturday. He collected his first helper when J.J. Moser opened the scoring 9:37 into the first period, added a power-play assist on Dylan Guenther's first-period goal, and completed the three-point outing with an assist on Clayton Keller's empty netter late in the game. Schmaltz has been fantastic this month, recording 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in nine games. He's had 19 goals and 29 assists in 65 games over the course of the season, producing 21 power-play points (10 goals, 11 assists).--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Schmaltz (upper body) will sit out a third consecutive game Monday against Pittsburgh. Schmaltz was knocked out of the lineup by an upper-body injury a week ago just as he was enjoying one of his better spells of the season with a three-goal, tw0-assist effort across six games. The 27-year-old sits third in scoring on the team, with 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists) in 42 games. Jason Zucker has filled a top-six role during Schmaltz's absence, posting one assist in the two games Schmaltz has missed.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Schmaltz didn't make it to the end of Tuesday's affair against Calgary, exiting the contest with an undisclosed injury. He notched an assist in 11:11 of action before leaving. Coyotes head coach Andre Tourigny announced postgame that Schmaltz is considered day-to-day and will be questionable for Thursday's matchup against Vancouver. Schmaltz is a key man for Arizona, and he's enjoyed a hot spell lately with five points in six games, including a three-game goal streak. For the season overall, Schmaltz has tallied 13 goals and 28 points in 42 games. Matias Maccelli moved up in the lineup in his absence on Tuesday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
