New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (chest) is still recovering from an injury that prompted the team to place him on injured reserve. He was a surprise impact player both for the team and for fantasy football squads when healthy. He racked up 30 catches, 412 receiving yards, and five touchdowns in seven games.
Much to the chagrin of WR Garrett Wilson managers, Lazard outshined his counterpart on multiple occasions. He showed off the chemistry he had developed with quarterback Aaron Rodgers when both were on the Green Bay Packers previously.
When will he be able to return to play? Here is the latest update on the Jets' receiver.

Allen Lazard Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The update is that there are virtually no updates on the internet. Scouring search engines and X (Twitter) leads to nothing substantive. This should be expected, though. There isn't much reason for the team to release updates about his status. They may not even have formally medically evaluated him yet.

The Jets placed him on IR, knowing that they had a bye week in Week 12. He won't be able to play in Week 13, so he's first eligible to return in Week 14. Expect the team to begin re-evaluating him in the lead-up to their game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, December 8.
Allen Lazard Fantasy Football Outlook
Interestingly, it seemed like he was the only consistent receiver in the offense when he played. Wilson swung wildly between huge games and absolute duds, and WR Davante Adams, who they traded for from the Las Vegas Raiders, has disappointed. At times, Lazard looked like the clear WR1.
Most recieving TDs by WRs:
6: Mike Evans, Ja'Marr Chase
5: Chris Godwin, Allen Lazard, Drake London, Justin Jefferson
4: Terry McLaurin, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Brian Thomas
3: D.K. Metcalf— Whiproute ⚡️ (@whiproute_) November 27, 2024
Even after missing this much time, he's still tied for second in receiving touchdowns in the NFL. That's impressive. He made some great plays down the stretch and often was a big reason the team was even competitive in some of their contests.

He's worth rostering even through his injury. Stash him in one of your IR spots. He could be a great fill-in for injured players during the fantasy playoffs.
