Aaron Rodgers Will Remain Starter If Healthy
1 min agoNew York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will remain the starter as long as he stays healthy, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich confirmed Wednesday. There had previously been some chatter about a potential benching after it was reported that owner Woody Johnson proposed starting Tyrod Taylor over Rodgers. However, Ulbrich has now confirmed that the job belongs to Rodgers, barring an injury. The topic of health is an interesting one given recent rumors that Rodgers refused to undergo medical scans and was a candidate for injured reserve. Nevertheless, Ulbrich cleared the air Wednesday, saying Rodgers is healthier than he has been in several weeks. The veteran quarterback ranks as the overall QB19 in fantasy football this season, completing 241 passes for 2,442 yards, 17 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He'll rank as a high-end fantasy QB2 heading into a somewhat favorable matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
