Calvin Ridley Cleared For Sunday, Should Take Advantage Of Houston’s Secondary
20 hours agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (illness) was removed from the final injury report after logging full practices on Thursday and Friday. He will suit up vs. divisional rival the Houston Texans on Sunday. Last week against the Minnesota Vikings marked the first time since Week 7 that fantasy managers were unsatisfied with the performance of Ridley. The 29-year-old was limited to four catches for 58 yards in the Week 11 loss to the Vikings. It's worth noting that his 51-yard touchdown was not called back on an illegal formation penalty during last Sunday's loss. Since DeAndre Hopkins was dealt to Kansas City, Ridley has racked up 24 catches for 358 yards and two touchdowns over four games. While Houston has a great young cornerback in Derek Stingley Jr., the secondary is tied for dead last in touchdowns allowed to wideouts and is 24th against fantasy WRs. Quarterback Will Levis has continued to look more comfortable operating this offense, which is an excellent sign for Ridley. Consider the former Alabama standout a low-end WR2 with upside for this matchup at Houston.
