Who should I start for Week 12? Fantasy football outlooks for Nick Chubb, David Njoku, Jameis Winston. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.
The Cleveland Browns will welcome their bitter divisional rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers, to Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland for their first matchup of the season. The Steelers have streaked to a dominant 8-2 record while the Browns are incredibly unlikely to make the playoffs at 2-8.
Regardless of their fortunes as a team this year, Cleveland has three players that are rostered in most fantasy leagues and are being considered for fantasy football starting lineups this week -- quarterback Jameis Winston, running back Nick Chubb, and tight end David Njoku.
So which of these guys should you put in your starting lineups?
Should I Start Jameis Winston for Fantasy Football?
While Winston has scored 23.6, 13.1, and 26.6 fantasy points in his last three contests, he'll face an extremely tough Steelers defense that's stymied opposing quarterbacks to the tune of 11.5 FPTs per game. In addition, the weather is projected to be ugly come game time.

As the weather forecast becomes clearer, his range of outcomes in fantasy becomes murkier. It could be tough sledding for the 10th-year pro, and he's a midrange QB2 who should be started in superflex/2QB leagues but can be avoided in 1QB leagues for now.
Should I Start Nick Chubb for Fantasy Football?
The Steelers aren't as brutal against the run as they are against the pass, but Chubb has been decidedly far less than stellar in his action this season since returning from a season-ending knee injury in 2023. He's averaged just under 3.1 yards per carry, scored only one touchdown, and not rushed for over 52 yards in a game yet.

"Batman" as he's known, will likely improve each week, though, and even if he's 80% of the player he once was, he can have a solid game. The Browns run-blocking has left something to be desired, but it'll at least be a positive game script (hopefully) for No. 24, due to the awful weather. He's a RB3/FLEX play in non-PPR leagues.
In PPR, there are likely better options.
Should I Start David Njoku for Fantasy Football?
Njoku is probably a fine starter due to lack of depth overall at the position, but it's difficult to recommend him as a high-end option. The weather issues could lead Winston to prefer shorter passes, which would be well suited for Njoku to create mismatches with the linebackers and get a decent number of targets.
David Njoku is averaging 16.9 PPR points per game since the Amari Cooper trade.

It's hard to ignore his production since wide receiver Amari Cooper was traded to the Buffalo Bills, though. Njoku has certainly benefitted from Cleveland being such a pass-heavy team under Winston, though. He's a decent starting option for fantasy football, but it wouldn't make much sense to expect high-end TE1 numbers from him this week.
