5 months agoMichael Chandler will look to get back in the win column when he takes on Charles Oliveira in the co-main event of UFC 309. Chandler was last seen in action at UFC 282 where he lost via third-round submission to Dustin Poirier. He had been sidelined for years waiting on a promised fight with Conor McGregor. They were scheduled to headline UFC 303 but McGregor pulled out of the fight because of an injury, so Chandler decided to move on and accept a rematch against Oliveira. When the two faced each other at UFC 262, Chandler got TKOd in the second round. DraftKings sees Chandler as the underdog with a salary of $7,200. Throughout his UFC career of five bouts, he averages 65.3 fantasy points per contest.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller

2 years agoAfter a potential first round of the year, Michael Chandler was unable to score off of his second-round performance and suffered a third-round submission loss to Dustin Poirier on the main card of UFC 281 on Saturday. In 12:00 of action, Chandler actually out-struck Poirier by landing 43 significant strikes (65 total strikes) and landed three of his seven takedown tries. After a solid second round against the former champion, Chandler gave up his back to the BJJ black belt and had his night ended with a rear-naked choke. Chandler now moves to 2-3 in the UFC.--Matt Bricker

2 years agoRebounding after back-to-back losses, Michael Chandler (23-7) will look for back-to-back wins when he faces another top-tier lightweight in former champion Dustin Poirier on the main card of UFC 281 this Saturday. The former Bellator champion has a record of 2-2 in the UFC but has fought the absolute best in the division the whole way. DraftKings sees "Iron" as the big underdog, though, with a salary of $7,300. Throughout his four UFC bouts, Chandler averages 69.9 fantasy points per contest. It's likely we see Poirier use his superior stand-up game in this contest.--Matt Bricker

3 years agoWith a potential knockout of the year, Michael Chandler put an exclamation point on his contest with long-time division star Tony Ferguson at UFC 274 on Saturday. In the second round of action, Chandler nailed a front kick that immediately floored Ferguson, ending the contest. In 5:17 of total action, Chandler tallied 27 significant strikes (43 total strikes) and landed his lone takedown attempt. Chandler has fought the absolute best of the division since joining the UFC. In his two UFC victories, both have come via big-time knockouts. Anytime you see Chandler on the fight card, he should receive plenty of consideration for fantasy lineups, regardless of his price tag.--Matt Bricker
