Broncos D/ST Bounces Back In Week 11, Keeps Falcons Out Of End Zone
8 mins agoThe Denver Broncos defense/special teams unit bounced back nicely in Week 11 against the visiting Atlanta Falcons after failing to record a takeaway in last week's loss to the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs. Not only did Denver's defense lock down the Falcons offense and keep them out of the end zone in the 38-6 victory, but they picked off quarterback Kirk Cousins and were able to sack him three times for a loss of 21 yards -- they added another sack in the fourth quarter when Atlanta sat Cousins down in favor of rookie first-rounder Michael Penix Jr. In addition, they held star running back Bijan Robinson to only 35 rushing yards (2.9 yards per carry) in a dominant performance. Denver's D has proven to be a top-five unit in the NFL through the first 11 weeks of the season, and they'll be a must-start, high-end defense for Week 12 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders next Sunday.
