5 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) was spotted at the team's practice on Thursday after he was a non-participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Hill was most likely limited on Thursday, but the fact that he was back at practice at all is a good sign that he'll be ready to go for the Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Hard Rock Stadium. The 30-year-old is reportedly dealing with a torn tendon in his left wrist, but he hasn't missed any time because of it, and the Dolphins don't believe the injury is affecting his performance. The Cheetah's numbers have improved since quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returned from his concussion three weeks ago, and although Hill probably isn't 100%, he still has WR1 upside as long as he's active. Hill will be facing a Raiders defense that has been surprisingly stingy against opposing pass-catchers in 2024. UPDATE: Hill was limited in Thursday's practice.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

1 month agoMiami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters on Tuesday that wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist) underwent surgery on his left wrist this offseason to fix a ligament issue, which will keep him out for most of the offseason. The 30-year-old Cheetah dealt with his wrist injury for much of last season, which helps explain some of his drop in production, but he never actually missed a game because of it. While he won't take part in the majority of offseason workouts, Hill should be ready to go for training camp in the summer. Hill was upset after the Week 18 regular-season finale and said he wanted out of Miami, but he has since toned down that stance and said he was merely frustrated over the team's disappointing 2024 campaign that ended without a playoff appearance. The five-time All-Pro fell short of 1,000 receiving yards for just the third time in his nine NFL seasons in 2024 but could be a nice value pick in fantasy this fall.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

2 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has gone back on comments that he made after the team's Week 18 loss to the division-rival New York Jets in which he said, "I'm out," and "it was great playing here but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career." "I'm taking full accountability for what I said. I'm gonna come back next year. I wanna stay with the Dolphins," Hill said on NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk during Super Bowl week. General manager Chris Grier said Hill never asked for a trade. The 30-year-old burner was clearly upset in the moment over a disappointing season in which the Dolphins missed the playoffs and he fell shy of 1,000 yards receiving for the first time since 2019. Hill has two years left on his current deal and should be back in South Beach in 2025 as he looks to bounce back after dealing with a nagging wrist injury pretty much all year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been in the headlines after hinting toward wanting to be traded following the team's Week 18 loss to the New York Jets. Hill fell under 1,000 receiving yards in 2024 for the first time since 2019, and this year is the first time he has missed the playoffs since entering the NFL. However, the team has since said Hill has not requested a trade. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Hill played through a severe wrist injury all year and is committed to Miami after an "excellent" meeting with general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel. It surely sounds like Hill will play for the Dolphins in 2025, and he could have a bounce-back campaign if he and Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

3 months agoAccording to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have cleared the air with wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and the eight-time Pro Bowler did not formally request a trade. Following the Week 18 loss to the New York Jets, Hill said "I just gotta do what's best for me and my family. If that's here or wherever the case may be...I'm out. At the end of the day, I need to do what's best for my career." This certainly sounded like the 30-year-old was set to try to force his way out of Miami after he missed the playoffs for the first time in his career. Hill posted 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns this season while playing much of the year without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Surely, this story has more developments to unfold, so fantasy managers and NFL fans should stay tuned.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
